2000-Lesson #5

As everyone else is celebrating the new millenium we are preparing to celebrate a birth. Baby #2 joined our family in January of 2000. Baby #1 was an easy child from the getgo. Sleeping well, always passive, never crying, easily calmed. Add in that she took a pacifier and she was always quiet but alert. She was never even sick. This continued into toddlerhood as well. The only problems we ever had were nursing. When baby #2 came she was what I thought was the complete opposite. She nursed easily but didn't sleep well. She ended up having GERD, allergies, ear infections, sinus infections, RAD and more. She was sick, cranky and needy. But then 5 years later came baby #3. She wasn't #1 but she wasn't #2 it was like there is a 3rd opposite. Baby #4 proved that maybe it's a box? He had yet another personality. How many opposites can there be.

Of course with so many different personalities there are so many different things that worked. Every child had a different thing that worked. I may have said this in lesson #1 but it is something that bears repeating so ....
